Jason was born in Colorado but moved to Texas as soon as he could.
He grew up in Bryan/College Station, in the shadow of the great Texas A&M University. Jason was first introduced to veterinary medicine by transporting livestock, horses, and family pets to A&M’s College of Veterinary Medicine for care.
He later moved to San Marcos to attend Texas State University, where he secured his first job in the veterinary industry as a kennel technician to help with school expenses. By the time he graduated, Jason had realized his passion for veterinary medicine. Over the years, he has worked in both primary and specialty care in a variety of roles, developing a special fondness for surgery, dentistry, and mentoring others.
During college, Jason met his wonderful wife, Sherry. They now share a son, Laken, and a house full of pets, including three dogs (two pugs and a mixed breed), three cats, multiple fish tanks, and an axolotl.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys unwinding with frequent trips to the Texas coastline, where he loves fishing, parasailing, attending sea turtle hatchling releases, and listening to live music.
Jason is passionate about providing gold-standard patient care and excellent client service to the people and pets of Central Texas. He is thrilled to be joining the outstanding team at White Rock Animal Hospital and looks forward to supporting the surrounding community.
